The Barricade's coverage of the first week of the war in Ukraine
Links to all of our publications since the beginning of the war and shortly before the first attack.
Dear Barricade friends and supporters,
We have not sent you any newsletters in the last eight days. The reason for this is that our editors in Bulgaria, Poland, and Romania were extremely busy first determining the situation in Ukraine and then following and reporting on events as they unfolded. Given the full-scale information war and unprecedented censorship implemented in the last few days, this task has become extremely difficult and time consuming. As a result, we have been unable to provide regular notices of the updates that we have been making. This newsletter contains links to a variety of publications that we have released since the beginning of the war, as well as some that were released shortly before it. However, we should be able to proceed more smoothly from now on.
For all of us in Eastern Europe, the current situation is heartbreaking and devastating; our region has once again become a theater of war between two fraternal nations. Serbs and Croats clashed in the 1990s; now it's Russians and Ukrainians. Both of those bloody conflicts resulted from Western meddling.
