I agree that education is important as a foundation for any individual. However, I don't know if I can agree with mr. Stanislavski. I didn't do research on this but from the people I saw, the ones that studied before 1989 in Romania, there are probably exceptions, especially in the 70s and early 80s most of them worked in factories.

There is only one person that thrived so to speak but knowing her it didn't have too much to do with the communist education. She was an autodidact and curious person.

These people that worked in factories then, now read tabloids and conspiracies online, if they are online (some are) and don't know much about who is the the person after a street is named after. From what I can gather, the common effect of them is that they were obedient most of their lives. Was that the goal? I don't know.

Growing up in the USA we had more freedom in school but did not get as high a level of education as you describe. We were subjected to a lot of state sponsored propaganda and misinformation. I am glad to have had the freedom I had as a child and I am torn about the cost/ benefit of a more authoritarian system. I look forward to learning more. Thank you.
