This time, The Barricade’s hosts sat down with David Schwartz, a Romanian theater director and, in some ways, political activist. His art is meant to motivate people to take political action and to instill hope that a better world is possible. Furthermore, his works demonstrate that unity on the Left is very much possible and that the type of approach to the general public that does not look down on the plebs works. David Schwartz’s project is one of the few long-lasting ones on the Romanian Left, and its history speaks volumes about the situation of the Left in Eastern Europe as a whole.
